Sari Silk Cord
This variant is currently sold out.
Available in 10 lovely colorways, our new luxurious recycled sari silk cord adds dimensionality, texture and movement to your fiber work. To create this cord, remnants of recycled sari fabric have been twisted, sewn and hand dyed.
The versatility of sari silk is unparalleled. It has a surprising resilience and can be use for weaving, crocheting and knitting rugs and home goods as well as incorporated into weavings and macrame.
This recycled sari silk cord is fair trade, ethically sourced from India, and hand dyed in small batches. Each dye lot may differ slightly so please be sure to purchase enough for each project.
A note about recycled fabric: No two skeins will be the same. Flecks of metallic fiber may be evident in some parts. The ribbon is not always one continuous length and may have sewn ends as these pieces are remnant cut-offs being given new purpose.
Each skein is approximately 100 grams.
2 mm wide, though this varies throughout due to the recycled nature of the fiber.
