Our banana silk yarn is a natural fiber made from the banana plant.  Collected after the fruit is harvested, the stalks of the banana plant are processed to extract long, strong fibers and then spun into yarn with a silky, shiny texture.

These yarns are great for incorporating into textural weavings, with natural loops and "imperfections" that create eye-catching, organic moments in your art work.

Banana silks are biodegradeable and eco-friendly.
